Serious work,
and a pile of
daft wee games.

I’m Chris, a Chartered IT Professional who leads digital & technology delivery by day, bit of community volunteering in spare time, and builds silly browser games when I should be sleeping.

Creature catcher

Hingmy

A full-fat Scottish creature-catching parody — my biggest game yet. Bottle aw 100 Hingmies wi’ an empty ginger bottle, defeat the six Bam squads for their bottle caps, then take on the Mad Squad in Glesga to become the Biggest Bottler. Saves your progress, works with a gamepad, and yer maw says ye cannae come hame til yer somebody.

Arcade

Segdoune Run

A Crossy-Road-style dash through Kilwinning, built with my son to mark his turn as royal prince at Segdoune this year. Hop across Main Street, dodge the Ardrossan buses and make it to the Abbey. Heavily fictionalised, obviously.

Retro

Nifty Lifty

A faithful tribute to the 1984 ZX Spectrum original — one of the first games I ever got into as a small child in the late 80s, on our family’s Spectrum +2, which is the first machine I ever wrote any code on. Run the lifts, mind the gaps. Original by Janko; Spectrum version by K.J. Bezant (1984).

Pixel brawler

Sysadmin Chronicles

A pixel-art beat-’em-up where you batter back the chaos of IT life. Survive the On-Call Nightmare endless mode and the dreaded Reply-All swarm.

Catbuster

Over 20 years ago my mates and I took on the world as a rock ‘n’ roll band. The songs didn’t quite catch on — but we did have a better website than some really big bands, which felt like the more important battle at the time 😉 Recapture our heyday in this game and save rock ‘n’ roll from the suits.
